On the 10th of September Kadis held a conference
called “Equal performing on the labour market”, where good
examples of expert help were discussed. Many experts from different
fields attended working both in adult education and with job
seekers. The CCW project and its objectives were presented and well
received. During the conference participants were asked the
question: “What advantages does ICT technology give individuals
in their job search?”
Two of several positive conclusions were that ICT technology can a
benefit for some job searchers in that it can be anonymous. Another
benefit recognised by participants is that ICT can save time.
Steve Harford, Careers Wales Gwent, presented the
project at the Careers Europe "Guidance Across Europe" event in
September 2009. Steve discussed the project aims and presented the
"work in progress" website.
Careers Europe received excellent feedback on the workshop which was
attended by careers guidance experts from throughout the UK and
Europe. All participants were keen to receive updates on the
project’s developments.
